412030 was one of the first cars that I collected data on at an American Collection. 412031 was one of the last cars that I collected data on before retirement, almost thirty years after unexpectedly finding the first.  In between time I had visited and collected data on some eleven 2.9 Alfa Romeo Spiders, not counting a couple in the restoration shops, for chassis and engine detail.  As with almost all cars of this age they change over the years, as they are repaired or restored.  After considerable research I think this one more closely resembles it’s former glory in detail, particularly with regard to the under-tray at the front than any of the others that I have built. 412031 is also the car that won the 1938 Mille Miglia race.
